Biography

Eugenija Kupčinskienė is a Lithuanian biologist and Graduated from Vilnius University in 1975 and Moscow University in 1980. In 1980–2008 he taught at the Lithuanian University of Agriculture, in 1991–2002 he was a lecturer at Vytautas Magnus University, in 2006–07 he was a lecturer at Kaunas University of Medicine, since 2008 he has been teaching at Vytautas Magnus University; professor (2004). Expert on science projects in the European Union (2004). He has written books Plant Tissues (with A. Dastikaite, 1995), Forest Herbaceous Plants (2004), a monograph on Latent Changes of Pine in Local Pollution Environment (2006), textbook Environmental Phytoindication (2011) and a Published about 150 scientific articles.

Research Interest

Plant hormonal regulation mechanisms, DNA methylation processes, ecological morph physiology, the sensitivity of cultivated plants to metals, latent damage of woody and herbaceous plants, environmental bioindication, air pollution, plant secondary metabolites, plant molecular genetics.
